How can I remove ink stains from my wall?

Ink Stain Removal from Wall

You can remove ink stains from your wall by using a non-oily liquid hairspray. Spray the area well then wipe with a clean cloth. You may need to use several applications. Remember to always test in a non-visible area first to be sure that this does not harm your wall.

This worked just wonderfuly. My little two year old had decided to used a ink pen and color on the walls and doors of our house. I tried everything to get the stains out, but nothing seemed to work. Then I came upon this website and I tried the hairspray and it worked instently. Thank you.

Wow! Who would have thought to use hairspray? It worked great! Came completely clean on my semi-gloss paint, but left a faint mark on the high-gloss of the door and door frame. It looks tons better.

be sure to test in an inconspicuous area. It removes latex paint along with the stain. I do not know if it will remove oil based paint.

This works because of the alcohol in the hairspray. Isopropal rubbing alcohol works to remove the stain as well.
