This solution to removing your blueberry stains sounds crazy, but it does work. Stretch the stained areas over a bowl or a sink, then pour boiling water from a height of several feet above the cloth through the stain. Or, you can try using a commercial enzyme stain remover, or mix equal parts vinegar, water, and liquid dishwashing soap in a squeeze bottle, shake, and work into the spots. Let stand a few minutes, then launder.

I used all three attacks - stain remover, vinegar mix and boiling water - and finally succeeded I was able to work on the stain immediately.
I really can't believe the the boiling water tip worked, but it did! The stains were already several hours old. The only one this method had trouble with was a stain I tried to clean with cold water previously; it's still 97% gone though.

Hot water works great! I was at work eating blueberry's and dropped one on my white pants, it made three stains. I boiled some water in the microwave pour over my white pants and like magic stains came out. Thanks so much!

Call us crazy but we tried this method (boiling water from several feet) on a three day old blueberry stain on a yellow v-neck sweater that was right at the bottom of the "V". STAIN IS GONE!!! Thanks
I didn't have the vinegar, but I used the dishwasher liquid, a Tide pen and Biz and ran through cold water. After I laundered the shirt with Forever New. The stains came out.
Aug 5 09 I just tried the boiling water tip on blueberry pie stain on a cotton cloth towel. It Works. The vinegar water/soap solution only changed the color.

Last weekend I got several blueberry stains on my brand new red bermuda shorts. I tried cold water two minutes after it happened, they never went away. I tried Shout for two days, they laughed at me. Then I googled for advice and got this one. While pouring boiling water on them they simply vanished in front of my eyes.
