Cleaning Car Ashtrays
To help eliminate odors and extinguish cigarettes, place either baking soda or kitty litter in your car's ashtray. This will deodorize your car and help prevent it from smelling like cigarette smoke.

Febreeze is the only thing I've found that really kills the odor. My elderly mother is the only one allowed to smoke and even that small amount can't be helped with regular deodorizers.

I have a friend who swears by Febrese so you might try this but I would take it to a professional. I suppose it depends on the nose but frankly I would never consider purchasing a car that someone has smoked in. Personally, I can always tell and I think it pretty much ruins a car.
