Be careful when wielding a permanant marker or you may be tackling a kitchen cleaning task you didn't count on.Try using rubbing alcohol to try and remove the permanent marker from your fridge. You could also try using a fabric pre-wash spray or a color-safe bleach. Trying them on a non-visible area first to ensure that they do not damage the finish on your fridge. Saturating the stain with hair spray might also remove it.
use either aerosol hair spray or alcohol wipe pads..also shaving cream works well with warm water....
You can also use Eucalyptus oil on some cotton wool (ball).
I removed permanent marker ink from two sewing machines (my young granddaughters wrote their initials on them) with olive oil. It worked great! I tried other things...ink wouldn't budge, but when I tried the olive oil...it was magic!
Use the magic eraser whenever you can! It is fabulous! It removed black permanent marker off my countertops!

As a teacher I use permanent marker on everything laminated...when I need eraser what I've written in permanent marker, I use nail polish remover!
The very best I have found to remove permanent marker is the same solvent that you use to clean your rifle and handgun barells.
Try hydrogen peroxide for getting it out of carpet.
Brake fluid works the best.
You can also use hair spray to remove permanent marker from clothes.

My 2 year old drew with a sharpie all over my plasma computer screen - A simple pencil eraser took it right off.
rub toothpaste and the color will come out into it, and the paste has a mild abrasive in it. Just another one...
If you go over permanent marker with a dry erase marker it comes right off.
