How do I get rid of odors in my house?

Household Odor Removal

Kitchen cleaning also means having to remove cooking or generally unpleasant odors in your home, you could try : 1) Simmering a potful of stick cinammon, orange peel, whole cloves and water on your stove. 2) Place small bowls of vinegar around the room, as it absorbs any lingering odors. 3) Sprinkle some cinammon on a cookie sheet and warm it in the oven.

I boil cinammon stick with orange slice and/or apple slices plus whole cloves, not only for the aroma but it is also a good drink. specially aound the holly-days when the house is all closed for the winter.

I find that cleaning all areas thoroughly with a good cleaner usually replaces unpleasant odors with a fresh, clean scent. If there is an unpleasant odor left after cleaning, it's probably because the room hasn't been cleaned thoroughly.

Thanks for reminding me of how simple it is to remove oders. The cinnamon woks the best because it lingers in the air for a few days. Vinegar is good for removing fish oders from the air.

Sounds like a great idea that im gonna try, natural everyday items. Healthier than your store bought chemicals that are gone after a few moments after they are sprayed.

I have found that fresh lemons will absorb odors in vehicles, I have used the combination of the apple peels, orange peels, cloves and cinnimon in a crock pot for a few years it sure makes an empty house seem full.

Sounds like it smells really good but, drier sheets in cold water to boil does the same and is easier.

I have to say vinegar is the way to go unless you can't stand the smell. I purchased a spray bottle and added water, tea tree oil (natural disifectant) and essential oil of lemon. No smells here - especially from dogs or onions!
