I tried this trick after my son and his friend drew on his bedroom door. I was starting to worry, because I tried Magic Eraser, bleach water, scrubbing....the marks weren't coming off. Then I read this. I don't use hair spray, but I do have rubbing alcohol, so I tried it. Within 60 seconds, the stains were gone!

The hair spray really does work! I was freaking out cause I got biro on the wall and then it smudged... and Dad would have got sooooo mad... but I tried the hair spray after I'd exhausted every other cleaning product in the house, and it worked!!

Rubbing alcohol did the trick! But be careful -- it may have removed a little bit of the paint.

Our 3 year old went crazy with a Discovery Toys black dry-erase marker on our white walls. We were afraid we'd have to repaint. But rubbing alcohol, on an old rag, took it right off, and *completely* off. It also took off a small amount of the (semi-gloss) paint, but not enough to worry about. After cleaning, the cleaned area was noticeably cleaner than the surrounding wall areas, so I finished with broad strokes to sort of smooth it in.

Thanks so much, it worked perfectly, after I tried with no success magic eraser and bleach!. Luckily my son used chalk on his floor but I will keep rubbing alcholol around for the dry erase markers!.

your thing works okay it doesnt take off everythingit leaves most of the stuff on

Hand sanitizer works great too for removing any marker (including permanent) from walls.

i find that the magic eraser wks well for most of my stain on the walls. u dn't have 2 apply pressure, therefore ur paint stay put.

magic tip, used industrial alcohol and lots of rubbing on my car. I shall forgive the kid next door.

It doesn't work. As I saw everyone says it works which it kida works but it does leave some on the wall now if you want it to fade use this tip but of you want it to go away use another tip
