Here's a bathroom cleaning caution: An acrylic tub takes a bit of care. Don't use heavy chemicals or abrasives as these will scratch or otherwise damage the tub. Instead follow these bathroom cleaning tips for acrylic tubs: Most everyday dirt and grime can be wiped away with a damp cloth or a mild dish detergent. If a heavier product is necessary, ammonia will clean without damaging the finish.
American Standard recommended two tablespoons of crystal dishwashing detergent. Run with hot water in
a jacuzzi tub. Then drain and fill again with cold. Run again and drain. It does a good clean-up job but I still need to get down on my hands and knees!
can I just buy a spray product to clean my acrylic tub.Diswashing soap just isn't making my tub look clean.
If you use ammonia, make sure there is good ventilation. It is better to wipe down the tub/shower right after you have used it. It only takes a minute or two, which is a whole lot better than breathing in ammonia!!
Try using Dish detergant on the tub...works wonderfully with the new Micro-cloths...
Our acrylic kitchen sink manufacturer recommends Bon Ami non abrasive cleanser and it works wonders. They also have 409 listed, and Tide liquid for any tough stains...all have worked fine without damage.
Use fabric softner sheets and a little elbow grease
