To get tree sap off your car, you can try Goof Off (or a product similar to that), or WD40. Spray the product on the stain, rub, and rinse well. For a homemade treatment, try using mayonnaise in a similar fashion. You may want to test the product you choose in a hidden area to ensure that it won't harm the finish on your car.
the mayo worked well just rubbed it on and instantly it took off the sap. good tip
WD 40 WAS TOTALLY INEFFECTIVE, BUT A PRODUCT CALLED THE RIGHT STUFF ALLOWED ME TO SPRAY IT ON, LET IT SET FOR 15 SEC, AND WIPE IT OFF, AND IT WAS REALLY HAVE SAP.
Tried this and it worked. I used Goo Gone. I did try it in a hidden area first. The sap came off the car finish did not I rinsed the area well and it looks great. Thanks for the tip!!!
DENATURED ALCOHOL, WORKS ON MAPLE AND MOST OTHER SAPS. LOW COST AND EASY. RAY
We have Pine trees in our parking area. My Jeep was ruined, (I thought). I tried everything, even the mayo trick. The ONLY thing I got to work was the "Goof Off". Worked beautifully too. Make sure you rinse it good or it'll be smeary.
I use rubbing alcohol on my car. Dab some on a papaer towel or soft cloth, place over tar for a minute or so and gently rub until it is gone. Works like a dream!
What about road tar on cars finish? is it the same as tree sap?
I did't hav ae any of those products but I heard of using rubbing alcolhol on it and it takes the sap right off.Mine was on for about a month and I had no trouble taking it off.
