How to clean your Ipad

When cleaning your iPad, make sure the device is turned off, unplugged and completely disconnected. Follow these steps to clean you iPad both inside and out.

Cleaning the iPad Screen

Remarkably, cleaning liquids stronger than a small amount of cool water are unnecessary when cleaning the iPad. However, if you would like to use a cleaning product, choose one that does not contain alcohol, ammonia, or bleach, as these compounds are known to damage the oleophobic coating that is prevalent on all Apple device screens. Acetone based products should also be avoided.

Spray the cleaning liquid onto a non-abrasive, microfiber, lint free cleaning cloth. Do not use anything that may scratch the surface of your device.

Wipe down your iPad with the cloth. Be sure the device is completely dry before turning it back on.

Cleaning the iPad Ports

Cleaning the iPad's ports can make a dramatic difference in terms of sound quality. You can do this one of two ways- by using a plastic tooth pic or compressed air.

If using the tooth pic, insert the tool ever so gently along the inside of the port. Carefully remove any loose debris.

If using compressed air, carefully point the spout into each port and very gently press the trigger on the can to release a controlled stream of air into each port.

Now power on and enjoy your refreshed iPad!
