To remove adhesive from just about any surface, spray it with WD-40. Let it sit for a minute and wipe clean

Absolutely the truth! I just took WD40 out on my golf bag to remove the sticky residue left from velcro. Worked like a charm because it was on a surface that would not absorb the WD40.
