To remove the foul odor from your washing machine let the machine fill with water and when it starts to agitate add about three cups of white vinegar, with a half cup of baking soda. Let the machine run through it's cycles and it will not only get rid of the odor, but will also clean the machine.
thanks for the tip it does work.
THIS REALLY WORKS... I HAVE A ROOMATE WHOS FEET AND SOCKS SMELL SO VERY VERY BAD THAT AFTER A WHILE OF HIM USING MY WASHER THE MACHINE STARTED TO SMELL LIKE THAT TOO.... SO I DID AS THE TIP SAYS AND IT DOESN'T SMELL ANY MORE. GREAT TIP THANKS SO VERY MUCH
THIS WORKS GREAT. THANKS FOR THE TIP
I HAVE USED THIS BEFORE AND IT REALLY IS GOOD, WHERE I LIVE WE ARE ON A WELL AND THE WATER IS MINERAL AND IT ROUGH ON OUR WASHER AND CLOTHES.
YOU CAN ALSO MAKE A FABRIC SOFTENER WITH VINGAR........MIX....2C BAKING SODA IN A GAL JUG WITH 2C. VINGAR TO 4C. WATER..BE CAREFUL IT FIZZELS....HELPS WITH ODORS AND SOFTENS CLOTHES TOO.
Leave the lid open on the washer after using to dry out the inside. it keeps odors from building up in the drain and inner tub of the washer.
No change in the odor after the baking soda and vinegar treatment. I'm going to try doing them separately next time--baking soda during the wash cycle and vinegar during the rinse.
the odor is from letting your clothes set after they have been washed. if you get some oxyclean powder from any store like walmart or dollar general and mix a couple of scoops with hot water in a cup then put in the washer with a load of whites, walaaaa.....the smell is gone! and the best thing to use with your clothes to get them cleaner( all colors) just make sure you mix it with hot water first to get the BEST results! good luck!
